The following ICC / Anti Sexual Harassment Committee has been formed for the academic session 2025–26 as per the Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on 22nd April, 2013, and is hereby published for general information:

(PREVENTION, PROHIBITION AND REDRESSAL) ACT, 2013
Formation of Cell
To provide protection against sexual harassment of women at workplace and for the prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
Definition of Sexual Harassment
“Sexual harassment” includes any one or more of the following unwelcome acts or behaviour (whether directly or by implication), namely:
- Physical contact and advances; or
- A demand or request for sexual favors; or
- Making sexually colored remarks; or
- Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature.
Functions of the Cell
The functions of the cell are to safeguard the rights of female students, faculty, and staff members and to provide a platform for listening to complaints. The cell also strives to promote hygiene habits and ensure a healthy atmosphere in and around the college.
It aims to equip women with knowledge of their legal rights and redressal of grievances. To facilitate speedy delivery of justice, meetings are organized regularly. The counselling cell processes both oral and written complaints.
From time to time, the cell conducts seminars and lectures by specialists and eminent personalities to create awareness against violence towards women, sexual harassment at workplace, and issues related to health and hygiene.
Objectives
- To resolve issues pertaining to girls’/women’s sexual harassment.
- To provide grievance redressal mechanisms for women.
- To equip female students, faculty, and staff members with knowledge of their legal rights.
- To safeguard the rights of female students, faculty, and staff members.
- To provide a platform for listening to complaints and redressal of grievances.
- To promote hygiene habits and ensure a healthy campus environment.
- To ensure personality development along with academic growth of students.
Complaint Procedure
- Any member who feels that he or she has been harassed may approach the ICC / Anti Sexual Harassment Committee of the College through Email / Mobile No. / Complaint Box.
Disciplinary Action
Any member found to have harassed another member or guest will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action, including reprimands, suspension, termination, and other legal actions as per rules.
Complaint and Redressal Mechanism
- After receiving the grievance of students or staff, the matter is discussed with the HOD and an appropriate solution is explored. If unresolved, the grievance is escalated to the Principal and Legal Advisor.
- The complainant may be summoned for hearing, if necessary.
- After hearing the complaint, the committee shall take an appropriate decision.
